Are you currently a resident of Strathcona County?
The Strathcona County Library Board holds approximately 10 meetings per year and each meeting is about 2 hours long. Board members can expect to do approximately 1 hour of preparation prior to each meeting. Board members also serve on a standing committee of the Board which involves attending 3-6 meetings per year, attend a one day workshop and planning retreat each year, and new members attend a multi-day orientation during their first term. Board members may also attend Strathcona County Library events such as the annual volunteer luncheon, and may be part of various advocacy efforts. Do you feel comfortable with making the necessary time commitment to serve as a Board member?
